In this particular Pashmina shawl, the weavers have chosen to use an especially lovely hand-spun yarn in a solid shade of Onion Pink. Delicate variations in the fine twist of the yarn, density of weave, and the occasional inclusion of darker fibers during the loom process result in very subtle shifts of light and shadow, beautifully enhancing the texture of the petite twill weave pattern, referred to as “Kani” in Kashmir.
