Designed with spirited Paisley scrollwork, this absolutely gorgeous shawl has been artistically inspired by the grand kani weave and embroidered shawls of old Kashmir. Featuring coiled Paisley motifs unfurling across the field in decorative arcs amidst a garden of delicate Himalayan flower motifs in shades of Orchid, Empress Pink, Honey Gold, Dusky Rose, delicate Crystal Green, Dusky Teal Blue, Rich Saffron, and Almond, this lovely soft wool shawl echoes the free flow of intense creativity that flourished in Kashmir during the early to mid 1800’s under the Sikh and Dogra maharajas.
This striking reversible full size shawl has been elegantly fashioned in rich, jeweltone colours. Fully reversible, one side displays vibrant Orchid and Empress Pink as the primary background shades while the opposite showcases Crystal Green and Honey Gold.

The original spins, twirls, and twists of nature’s own design elements used by the weavers and embroiderers during the 19th century were subsequently adopted by artisans of various mediums in Europe, where the style became popularly know as art nouveau.

Woven of quality, supple Lambswool Pashm which drapes with exquisite sophistication and style.
