Highly prized, the twill weave shawls from that era were hand-loomed, many taking years to complete. Created for shawl collectors who seek out the intricate, bold patterns from Kashmiri shawl artisans, this elegant Kani Solitaire shawl also features the twill tapestry style woven on contemporary looms and is fully lined with luxurious Black Silk.

Displaying a field of rich Crimson Red filled with petite Himalayan flowers in rich shades of Persian Blue, Green, Saffron, Garnet Red, Black, and Cream White, this elegant shawl also features an ornate border with Black background woven into two diagonally opposite corners, the lengthwise borders, and the two end borders. Loomed of fine mid-weight wool with a soft, gentle touch, the design of this lovely shawl beautifully evokes the sophistication and grace of Kashmiri culture during the early 1800’s and is a distinctive representation of excellence in the textile arts.
